The Building Automation Specialist I (BAS I) will report to the Manager, Building Automation & Commissioning and is responsible for performing a range of controls servicing of jobs for industrial and commercial customers.

Essential DutiesAble to conduct Controls Servicing jobs, as well as Construction Controls installations in a prompt and efficient mannerPerform Direct Digital Control (DDC) service and construction activities with or without direct direct supervision and/or assistanceAble to provide customer point-of-work recommendations for added control services, unit components, unit replacements, control system upgrades, which can then turn in to future HVAC sales leads and commercial service contractsProvide fluid dialog with the HVAC Service Sales team, ensuring all possible sales leads are communicated in a timely mannerWilling to perform related duties as directed by the Manager, Building Automation & CommissioningAble to confirm company vehicle usage is only for company requirementsMust be able to operate company vehicles in a safe and legal manner at all times.
Cell phone use while driving is prohibitedEnsure company vehicle is in well maintained and clean condition at all timesNon-Essential DutiesCross-train within the department to provide back-up coverage as neededUse self-initiative to remain current with industry trends (engage in webinars, virtual conferences, educational reading, etc.
