The High School Science teacher will be a passionate individual who helps our scholars discover daily awe and wonder in the world around them.
They will cultivate a scientific mind and viewpoint of the world consistent with One School of the Arts' philosophies, vision and mission statement.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide a classroom environment that balances high expectations with love and support.
Fuel a love for learning through implementing appropriate weekly lesson plans including instructional objectives, planned activities, assessments and resources, incorporating classroom technology to enhance instruction.
Collaborate with colleagues to provide a consistently great experience for scholars.
Demonstrate the spiritual maturity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities to inspire scholar learning, including the understanding of the knowledge and characteristics of the age group taught.
Actively participate in extracurricular activities in support of school initiatives.
Required Qualifications and
Experience:
Demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the distinctive qualities of Christian education Present a positive image of the school to others and to the community Ability to maintain an appropriate work/life balance Demonstrate strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills, incorporating the appropriate level of diplomacy and tact Possess solid communication skills, both written and verbal, strong organizational skills, ability to finish tasks in a timely manner and effectively partner and collaborate with others Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to school/scholar matters Experienced with using technology in a classroom environment.
Possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferable in Education, with an emphasis in the area of instruction, or a related area.
Licensed by a regional accredited agency.
Candidates eligible for a Florida Teacher's Certification will be considered providing a temporary certification is obtained within 30 days, and permanent certification received within three (3) years Job Type:
