Medicus IT's Tech Support Specialists work together to provide a complete solution from initial triaging of client requests, to the ultimate resolution of those requests while providing a world class client experience every time.
Different Tech Support Specialists cover different parts of our process and different levels of issue complexity, from being the friendly voice at the helpdesk, up to highly advanced solutioning.
We are interested in all candidates- whether your experience is aligned to the helpdesk, visiting client sites, being 100% onsite with one of our clients, or using your deep technical expertise to mentor your teammates - we want to talk to you! Role and Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, software, network, and server issues.
Able/willing to travel to customer sites when needed, depending on your role.
Follow internal escalation guidelines to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Follow internal documentation guidelines for good knowledge management and accurate billing.
Collaborate with teammates to learn, teach others, and resolve client issues quickly (i.
e.
system migrations, virtual server configurations with high availability, server and firewall installations, VPN tunnel configuration, SAN setups, etc.
).
Joining the after-hours On Call rotation requires a minimum of 6 months experience at MIT and supervisor approval.
Qualifications and Education Requirements A degree in a technology related field OR equivalent combination of education and work experience 2
years of experience in supporting Microsoft Environments Preferred certifications:
