(part of Exxelia Group & HEICO Corp), a leading designer and manufacturer of high reliability passive components and precision subsystems seeks a Facilities Manager to join the Team to meet the demands of its facility and its customers.
This person's management responsibilities include supervising a team of machine shop operators, electronic technicians, maintenance technicians, and night watchmen and is expected to facilitate the success of these teams.
The successful candidate can manage a team and is experienced in business operations, project management, and building maintenance within the manufacturing industry, preferably in Aerospace and Defense and possesses a clerical aptitude in keeping good records and staying on top of tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage a staff assigned to maintain buildings, grounds, and manufacturing equipment while assuring the optimal functionality of building and manufacturing processes.
Maintain Preventative Maintenance systems and provide repair support for production equipment.
Oversee third party contractors assigned to facilities renovation projects entailing HVAC, electrical, production floor arrangement, etc.
Submit RFQ's to suppliers for work/projects, ensuring quotes match scope of work.
Maintain insurance documents for contractors at any Exxelia USA location.
Be able to problem solve and develop practical solutions to challenges related to work hazards, efficiency, AS9100 compliance, fabrication, machine shop work requests, etc.
Manage and maintain Hazardous Chemical and RCRA/Waste compliance in central collection and satellite areas, ensuring compliance through weekly inspections.
Ensure SDS database remains current and accurate (Electronic & hard copy).
Maintain Cyber and Physical security support through audits, gap analysis, inspections, recommendations, implementation, and assistance to the IT and Facilities teams.
Conduct Job Hazard Analysis and apply NIOSH Hierarchy of Controls to control hazards and mitigate risk.
Perform detailed plant audits and inspections with knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ANSI, NIOSH, NEC, NFPA and other regulatory requirements.
Identify, prioritize, and manage competing problems across EHS and facilities enabling an approach that is both risks based, and value based and in accordance with all applicable regulations (OSHA, EPA, DEP, etc.
) and industry best practices while maintaining regulation compliance.
Prepare First Report of Injury and Incident Reports in support of EHS Program Conduct New Employee Orientation Safety and Tour as well as provide any concurrent and/or corrective training in individual or group settings to positively promote a culture of incident-free work environment and a commitment to individuals' safety.
Develop emergency contingency plans, safety communications and routine training programs.
Track and monitor training for timely completion.
Lead plant safety committee with focus on root cause analysis and process improvement.
Serve as EH&S Compliance Officer ensuring appropriate staff has thorough understanding of all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and always remain compliant.
Lead and/or participates in other projects and activities as required.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Two (2) year college degree required.
Five (5) years of combined experience in business operations, project management, and building maintenance within the manufacturing industry, preferring three (3) of those years' experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry to include support of Government contracts inclusive of FAR/DFAR/DPAS/ITAR compliance.
Three (3) years minimum management experience.
Three (3) years minimum related experience in EHS, First Aid or Emergency Medical Response, Security, Facilities and Equipment Maintenance, handling of hazardous waste, Machine Shop knowledge.
Knowledge and experience in ERP/MRP systems as a standard operational process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and recordkeeping including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external Customers.
Ability to work as part of a team in a multi-site setting and international environment.
Technical proficiency with typical office software applications.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with a demonstrated sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices with a continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization and work with a variety of people from diverse cultures.
Ability to act as an agent of change requiring strong credibility and influence in the organization.
Experience with customer/vendor interaction.
Quoting, negotiation and follow up, requiring critical thinking and interaction with internal and external technical professionals.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
