Exxelia USA (part of Exxelia Group Heico Corp) is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Production Mechanic whose principal duties consist of operating, setting-up, adjusting, repairing, and performing all maintenance work on production equipment and machinery.
Ensure smooth, continuous equipment operation and perform other duties as required.
Train, instruct and guide lower-level mechanics and helpers.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Diagnose faulty equipment as required and repair it safely and effectively in a timely manner.
Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
Clean and apply/replenish fluids/lubricants to machinery components as required.
Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production, using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts.
Complete purchase requisitions to have parts, supplies or equipment ordered as needed.
Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or proceduresMeasure and record data associated with operating equipment.
Must complete documentation neatly and accurately.
Collect hazardous or non-hazardous waste in correctly labeled barrels or other containers and transfer them to appropriate collection areas.
Provide training to line workers on equipment and processes within assigned areas as required.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Lead and/or participates in other projects and activities as required.
RequirementsEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:
A minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible mechanical experience (electrical would be helpful).

Also requires graduation from an appropriate vocational/technical school, or an equivalent amount of additional work experience.
The ability to read standard measuring instruments.
Also, must be able to read schematics and troubleshoot the equipment used.
Experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment.
Includes support of Government contracts including FAR/DFAR/DPAS/ITAR compliance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external personnel.
Ability to work as part of a team in a multi-site setting and international environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with a demonstrated sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices with a continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization and work with a variety of people from diverse cultures.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Climbing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pulling, lifting, grasping, twisting, sitting, feeling, and visual acuity.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
