Position Overview:
Engineer will be working on our clients cyber security product and Must have an entrepreneurial mindset as this is a semi-start up company.Candidate will work on a self-directed team of highly skilled software development and quality assurance professionals using Agile software development practices to develop compelling data analytics applications.
Requirements/
Responsibilities:
Enhance and support our client's Metagrid data anaytics platform
Work with our product management team to develop new data analytics services on the Metagrid platform
Work with our Quality Assurance team to ensure that our software products meet the demands of our customers
Provide technical oversight to more junior software developers
Required Qualification or Skills:
At least a Bachelor's degree in a computer science related field of study
At least 7 years of software development related experience
Strong math and understanding of algorithms
Experience building highly available, high performance, mission critical Java software
Experience designing and building distributed data collection and analytics applications
Significant Java software development experience in a Linux environment
Experience in C/C+
a big plus
Highly effective testing and trouble shooting skills in numerous operating environments
Experience with NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB or Cassendra a big plus
Experience implementing complex data analytics algorithms a big plus
Effective one-on-one and group communications skills
